Autumn officially arrives at 5:18 Eastern time today, but what exactly are we marking on this date? Known as the Fall Equinox, this is the time of the year when the day and night are of equal length. The word equinox comes from Latin meaning ‘Equal Night’.
For more detailed information and illustrations check out my story on the equinox on The Weather Network website.Enjoy the Fall Equinox- after all it only comes once a year.
